Randall Edward Ternet, 57, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at his residence.
He was born on April 9, 1965, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Larry R. Ternet and Jean D. (Wass) Ternet.
Randy was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville, Knights of Columbus in Decatur, Indiana, and also a member of the Moose Lodge.
He was a 1983 graduate of Heritage High School. Following graduation, he worked for General Electric for many years. Randy was maybe most known for his taverns – Maples Inn and Zulu Inn.
Randy had some eccentric tastes, he collected clocks, player pianos, and old cars. He was an avid bike rider, and known to show up in unplanned destinations.
He is survived by his mother, Jean D. Ternet of Monroeville, Indiana; sister, Jeanette M. (Mark) Figert of Grover Hill, Ohio; brother, Robert E. (Kim) Ternet of New Haven, Indiana; sister, Janeece M. (Paul “Tip”) Swander of Van Wert, Ohio; brother, Richard Ternet of Orange County, California; seven nieces and nephews, Justin Figert, Melissa Figert, Landon (Chelsea) Ternet, Jeremy Ternet, Garret (Molly) Ternet, Ashlynn Friesner, and Ezra (Leslie) Friesner; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father Maicaal Lobo officiating. Burial will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in New Haven, Indiana.
The Holy Rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials can be given to St. Rose Catholic Church or St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon.
