Milton D. Zelt, 56, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Friday morning, January 6, 2023, at his residence.

He was born on Friday, April 15, 1966, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Ira Zelt and Carol (Doctor) Zelt.

Milton was a member of Martini Lutheran Church in New Haven, Indiana he served as an usher, deacon, and trustee. He was also a supporter and member of Multiple Sclerosis in Allen County and assisted with organizing the annual walk.

He was a 1984 graduate of Woodlan High School and received his Welding Certificate from Ivy Tech. Milton was employed for Woodburn Diamond Die for 3 years, Gleave Construction for 16 years, Weaver Popcorn for 2 years and retired from DHL as a mechanic following 20 years of service.

Milton loved unconditionally and treasured his friends and family. His faith in God carried him through each and every day, no matter the circumstances. Milton had a knack for woodworking which led him to enjoy the reconstruction of homes. His favorite sport was college basketball, specifically I.U. Basketball. Go Hoosiers! Go Raiders! Go Pistons! Additionally, he enjoyed car racing. In his spare time, he enjoyed movies, playing cards, and board games.

He is survived by his significant other, Michelle Wightman of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Nycelina Wightman of Fort Wayne, Indiana; mother, Carol Zelt of New Haven, Indiana; sister, Monica (Dale) Bienz of Fort Wayne, Indiana; nephew, Jeramy (Heather) Bienz of Fort Wayne, Indiana; nephew, Jordan (Alyssa) Bienz of Fort Wayne, Indiana; niece, Christina Bienz of Indianapolis, Indiana; aunt, Bertha Doctor of New Haven, Indiana; and aunt, Coreen Zelt of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Milton was preceded in death by his father, Ira Zelt.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Martini Lutheran Church in New Haven, Indiana with Pastor Jim Teasdale officiating. Inurnment will take place at Martini Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Preferred memorials can be given to Martini Lutheran Church or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
