Mark Alan Fuelling, 59, of Woodburn, Indiana passed away Monday evening, February 20, 2023, at his residence following an unexpected medical event.
He was born on April 20, 1963, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Franklin Fuelling and the late Carrol L. (Heine) Fuelling. Mark was united in marriage to Shelly Schurg on June 20, 1987, at Woodburn Missionary Church.
Mark was a member of Woodburn Missionary Church in Woodburn, Indiana. He was board member of the Allen County Fair Grounds for over 30 years and was a past 4-H and FFA Member. Mark was a past member of several local bee keeping organizations and Allen County Coon Hunter’s Club.
He was a 1981 graduate of Woodlan High School and a graduate of Purdue University in Fort Wayne. Mark was the Director of Fleet Safety and Training for Lettermen’s Energy Inc. Prior to his employment at Letterman’s Energy, he was the outside Salesman for Gas Equipment Co. and served as a manager for 19 years at Ferrellgas. Starting in high school he also worked at Indiana Stamp, a career lasting 19 years.
Mark was a sports enthusiast supporting Cubs Baseball and Purdue Sports. Mark was close to accomplishing his goal of attending all of the Major League Baseball Stadiums. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors camping, raising and showing horses, hunting, shooting sports, fishing, and cards/board games. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and absolutely loved spending time with his grandson, Paxton.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shelly Fuelling of Woodburn, Indiana; daughter, Serena (Cody) Hegerfeld of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Justin (Ashley Luginbill) of Woodburn, Indiana; brother, Michael (Tabitha) Fuelling of Arlington, Virginia; grandson, Paxton Hegerfeld; and niece, Addison Fuelling.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2023, at Woodburn Missionary Church (5108 Bull Rapids Rd, Woodburn, IN 46797) with Pastor Steve Webster officiating. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery in New Haven, Indiana.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Woodburn Missionary Church and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
Preferred memorials can be given to Woodburn Missionary Church or the Allen County Fairgrounds.
