Willa Mae "Billie" Stuckey

Willa Mae “Billie” Stuckey, 92, of Decatur, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2019, at Parkview Hospice in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Billie was born on May 19, 1926 in Berne, Indiana to the late Harvey H. and late Elda (Lehman) Moser. She was united in marriage to Wayne B. Stuckey on March 30, 1947 in Berne and he passed away on September 16, 2011. Wayne and Billie were born on the same day and year, in the same town, and delivered by the same doctor.

She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur.

Billie graduated from Berne High School Class of 1944. She was a loving homemaker for her family. She was also a bookkeeper.

She enjoyed cross-stitching, journaling, scrapbooking, and reading.

Billie is survived by two sons, Ted W. (Sue) Stuckey of Hesston, Kansas; and Max L. Stuckey of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Jayne A. (Sam) Beitler of Evansville, Indiana; grandchildren, Wayne H. (Melody) Stuckey of Wichita, Kansas, Rachel (Hollins) Showalter of Indianapolis, Indiana, Andrew (Amanda) Beitler of Evansville, Indiana, Katie Beitler of Evansville, Michael (Courtney) Beitler of Evansville, Indiana; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler Stuckey, Aubrey Stuckey, Jillian Showalter, Reid Showalter, and Holden Beitler.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Maxiene Street.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur, IN, with Pastors Randy Rossman and Sherrie Drake officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Preferred memorials are to Zion United Church of Christ or Adams Memorial Hospital.
