Wendy J. Striker

Wendy J. Striker, 64, of Berne, Indiana passed away early Friday morning, August 14, 2020 at her residence following a brief illness.

She was born on December 10, 1955 in Adams County to the late Ernest and Eileen Sprunger.

She was married to Doug Meshberger and he preceded her in death in 1989. She then married Tod Striker on October 26, 1990 and he survives.

Wendy was a 1974 graduate of South Adams High School.

Wendy was employed at Berco in Berne for 27 years. She then worked at Berne Community Markets as the Produce Manger for 10 years before retiring this year.

Wendy adored her children and granddaughters. Wendy loved attending her kids sporting events when they were younger. She was an excellent cook and baker for her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Tod Striker of Berne, Indiana; two daughters, Lindsey (Tyler) Sherman of Lafayette, Indiana and Laura Brown of Tempe, Arizona; son, John (Emily) Striker of Liberty Center, Indiana; sister, Becky (Steve) Billington of Bryant, Indiana; three brothers, Mark Sprunger of Berne, Indiana, Dale (Sue) Sprunger of Berne, Indiana and Tom Sprunger of Portland, Indiana; mother & father in-law, Rosalyn (Bo) Neuenschwander of Berne, Indiana; and three granddaughters; McKenzie, Scarlett, and Fiona Striker

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne with Pastor Jay Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the M.R.E. Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2020 Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials can be given to Heart to Heart Hospice.
