Wayne F. Bultemeier

Wayne F. Bultemeier, 78, of Hoagland, Indiana passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Ossian Healthcare in Ossian, Indiana.

He was born on June 16, 1946, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Edwin and Amanda (Scheimann) Bultemeier. Wayne was united in marriage to Pamela Genth on January 27, 1968, at St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock.

He was a member of The Bridge Community Church in Decatur.

Wayne graduated from Hoagland High School in 1964.  He then continued his education at Purdue University where he obtained his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1969. He worked for Navistar as a Mechanical Engineer for 42 years.

In his spare time, he enjoyed being a hobby farmer and gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Pamela Bultemeier of Hoagland, Indiana; two sons, Christian Bultemeier of Monroeville, Indiana and Jamie (Traci) Bultemeier of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister, Norma Lepper of Hoagland, Indiana; two brothers, Leonard (Christine) Bultemeier of Decatur, Indiana and Michael (Linda) Bultemeier of Ossian, Indiana; sister-in-law, Charlotte Bultemeier of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and two grandchildren, Wyatt and Luke Bultemeier

He was preceded in death by a brother, Aldon Bultemeier; and brother-in-law, Dean Lepper.

Per Wayne’s wishes there will be no services.

Preferred memorials are to The Bridge – Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry and can be mailed to the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home – 520 N. 2nd St. Decatur, Indiana.
