Vicki D. Moravec, 53, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, following a battle with cancer. Vicki was surrounded by her family and friends at her residence.
She was born on September 15, 1970, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Don Hullinger and the late Dorothy (Maliszewski) Hullinger. She was united in marriage to Craig F. Moravec on September 20, 1997, in Ft. Wayne and he survives
She attended Crossbridge Community Church, in Fort Wayne.
Vicki was a professor emeritus at Trine University, a teacher of Chemistry, and the Science Department Chair. She was the head of the Honor Program at Trine which was named in her honor.
Vicki interests were scrap booking, crafting, and watching her kids play sports. She was very involved with the C3 Sports Soccer Program in various capacities and started a soccer program for children with special needs.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Moravec of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Katherine R. Moravec of Fishers, Indiana; daughter, Rebecca S. Moravec of Chicago, Illinois; son, Adam L. Moravec at home; and Elizabeth M. Moravec at home; and sister, Sandy (Terry) Bilger of Fort. Wayne, Indiana.
Vicki was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Hullinger
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Crossbridge Community Church, 3409 Hursh Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana with Pastor Brad Mattax officiating. A reception and dinner will follow the Celebration of Life.
Preferred memorials can be made to C3Sports or Crossbridge Community Church.
