Sydney Reusser Stucky

Sydney Reusser Stucky, 76, of Noblesville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at his daughter’s residence in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on December 16, 1942 in Berne, Indiana, to the late Sherman Stucky and the late Rebecca “Becky” (Reusser) Stucky. He married Jane Brewster on July 28, 1962 at the First Mennonite Church in Berne and she preceded him in death on July 9, 2004.

He was a former member of the First Mennonite Church in Berne.

Sydney retired in 2004, from Inland Container in Indianapolis with 18 years of service and had also worked at Mayflower Van Lines in Carmel, Indiana for 12 years.

He trained and showed Arabian horses for 25 years in the Indianapolis area and was well known for his skills.

Sydney is survived by his daughter, Jerilyn (Michael) Litke of Noblesville, Indiana; daughter, Stacia (John) Kennedy of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, Steve (Pat) Stucky of West Lafayette, Indiana; sister-in-law, Darlene Stucky of Fort Wayne, Indiana; three grandchildren, Brandon (Meghann) Hitch, Brittany Kennedy, and Billy Kennedy; and three great-grandchildren, Ezra Hitch, Rhett Hitch, and Imogene Hitch.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Jerry Stucky and sister-in-law, Gail Simon.

In honoring Sydney’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2019, with Life Celebrant Dave McIntire officiating.

Preferred memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice in Fort Wayne.
