Sue A. Sprunger

Sue A. Sprunger, 73, of Berne, Indiana passed away Wednesday evening, February 19, 2025, at Swiss Village in Berne, Indiana.

She was born on May 18, 1951, in Berne, Indiana to the late Rachel Burry. On May 1, 1999, Sue married Dale E. Sprunger in Berne.

Sue was a member of the First Mennonite Church in Berne where she served as a greeter, assisted in the nursery, sang in the choir at both First Mennonite Church and Cross Church. She was also active in the Cross Church Sunshine Youth Group and was a former Girl Scout.

She was a 1970 graduate of South Adams High School. She was a CNA for over 35 years, having worked at both Chalet Village and Swiss Village in Berne.

Sue enjoyed making greeting cards, cooking, and doing word search puzzles. She had a soft spot for animals.

She is survived by her husband, Dale E. Sprunger of Berne, Indiana; and son Tony L. Sprunger of Berne, Indiana.

Sue was preceded in death by her aunt and uncle, Earl and Margaret Burry.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the First Mennonite Church in Berne, Indiana with Pastor Jim Schwartz and Pastor Mike Wertenberger officiating. Burial will follow at M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne, Indiana.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. February 25, 2025, at Swiss Village Chapel in Berne, Indiana, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Preferred memorials can be given to Gideon’s International.
