Steven Jackson Neeley

Steven Jackson Neeley, 69, of Decatur, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 18, 2023, at his residence.

He was born June 22, 1954 in Kenton, Ohio to Lewis Jackson Neeley and Thelma Mae (Sparks) Neeley.  His parents preceded him in death.

Steve retired from Ford Motor Company in Lima, Ohio with 30 years of service.

He was a mason at Wayne Lodge in Waynesfield, Ohio and had obtained the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite.  He was also active in the Blue Creek Gun Club.

Steve was a musician… he sang, played the guitar and wrote songs.  He loved fishing, hunting, and woodworking.  Steve had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes.  He was also very intelligent and enjoyed watching Jeopardy.

He is survived by his brother, Mark (Debbie) Neeley of Kenton, Ohio; fiancé, Lisa Hirn of Decatur, Indiana; niece and nephews, Kristina Neeley, Kyle (Brooke) Neeley, and Trevor Neeley; Lisa’s children,  Jeremy (Katie) Hirn, Brandon (America) Hirn and Tyler (Prayer) Hirn; and 22 grandchildren which includes his buddy, Traxtyn.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Preferred memorials are to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
