Shon M. McCullough, 41, of New Haven, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at his residence following an unexpected medical event.
He was born on July 7, 1983, in Goshen, Indiana to Michael McCullough and Dianna (Malott) Malott. Shon was united in marriage to Amy M. Crabill on May 19, 2007, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Monroeville and she survives
Shon was a member of St. John Lutheran Church – Flatrock in Monroeville. He was an active member of the church community by serving the St. John – Emmanuel Lutheran School as their Athletic Director for the past 5 years. His involvement also extended to serving as a School Board Member prior to his term as AD. He valued his time spent in coaching and guiding the children that were placed under his care. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #215 in LaGrange, Indiana.
He was a salesman for Complete Finish Inc. in Ashley, Indiana where in the course of his job, he established many relationships that continued to the present day.
Shon was blessed with a happy and loud personality. His personality enabled him to never meet a stranger…who then became a friend. His great passion was sports, which he transferred into coaching and providing guidance to others. With this love of sports, his grandpa commented “…he should have been a sportscaster”. The Purdue Boilermakers were his favorite team. But, above all his accomplishments in his life, he was most proud of being a supportive husband and father to his family.
Survivors include his wife, Amy M. McCullough of New Haven, Indiana; daughter, Charlotte McCullough of New Haven, Indiana; father, Michael McCullough of Hagerstown, Maryland; mother, Dianna Malott of LaGrange, Indiana; maternal grandfather, Herb Malott of LaGrange, Indiana; sister, Sarah (Eric Kulpinski) McCullough of LaGrange, Indiana; niece, Kirie Fisher of LaGrange, Indiana; mother-in-law, Marilyn Crabill of Hoagland, Indiana; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Shon was preceded in death by maternal grandmothers, Eva Belle Malott and Rosalie Malott; paternal grandparents, Kenny (Gloria) Hoover; and father-in-law, David Crabill.
