Robert (Bob) W. Bogan, 77, of Decatur, Indiana passed away unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, March 3, 2020, at Adams Memorial Hospital ER in Decatur.
Bob was born on December 6, 1942 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Paul William Bogan and the late Mildred (Sipple) Gaskill. He married Alyce Lankenau in May of 1967 and she preceded him in death on January 29, 2016. He was employed at Silberline in Decatur in production. He was formerly a truck driver and employed at Automatic Sprinkler.
He is survived by a daughter, Erica Bogan of Decatur; son, Rob Bogan of Decatur; granddaughter, Alia Bogan of Decatur; and sister, Christine Flemming of Huntington.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had a great sense of humor and loved telling stories. Despite facing many hardships, he remained humble and kind. He enjoyed helping raise his beloved granddaughter (Alia), spending time with his dog (Elsa) and cat (Oggy), and fishing. Bob was also an avid watch and coin collector.
In accordance with Bob’s wishes, no services were held.
Preferred memorials are to Erin’s House of Fort Wayne, Indiana and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
