Richard L. "Dick" Dager, 82, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020, at his residence.
Dick was born March 7, 1938, in Allen County, Indiana to the late Leslie E. Dager and the late Wava I. (Marquardt) Dager. Dick was united in marriage to Patricia (Nicholoff) Dager in June of 1958 and she survives.
Dick served his country in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Germany for a period of two years.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #420 in Monroeville.
Dick retired in 2001 from Tohkeim following 41 years of service where he was a lead man in the machine shop. He was the most senior employee when he retired.
Dick enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outside. He enjoyed building projects and playing cards. He also had a strong passion for traveling with his camper and has visited every state several times.
Dick is survived by his wife of 62 years, Pat Dager of Monroeville, Indiana; daughter, Nicole (“Ziggy”) Harcus of Speedway, Indiana; son, Troy Dager of Monroeville, Indiana; granddaughter, Lauryn Harcus of Speedway, Indiana; two grandsons, Liam Harcus of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Cameron Harcus of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, Lynn (Linda) Dager of Decatur, Indiana; and a brother-in-law, Ken Oliger of Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Oliger.
There will be no immediate services for Dick. Following cremation, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
Preferred memorials are to the American Legion Post #420 Color Guard, Monroeville.
