Renee Joy Andrews, 30, of rural Berne went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 22, 2018 following a tragic one vehicle accident. She was born to Roger and Jenny Neuenschwander on November 2, 1987 in Decatur, Indiana. She married Albert Andrews on December 19, 2009, who survives.
She graduated from South Adams High School in 2006 where she played softball and volleyball. She graduated from the University of Saint Francis in 2009 with a nursing degree and has been employed by Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for the past 10 years, currently as a nurse on the Neuro Science Unit. She was a loving and special wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend and nurse. She loved life, which was evident as she lived it to the fullest, and always wore a smile. She greatly enjoyed showing livestock, especially dairy goats with her family at many local, state, and national shows. She and her husband started the herd name of Country Mile Nubians
She was a 10 year Adams County 4-H member where she participated in the Beef, Starter Calf, and Goat projects receiving the esteemed Premier Livestock Showman Award. She served as an Adams County Goat Club leader for the past 8 years and was an active member of the First Mennonite Church in Berne.
Survivors include her husband Albert, children, Isaac age 6 and Addilynne age 3, parents Roger and Jenny(Liechty)Neuenschwander of rural Berne. sister, Amy(Nathan)Hirschy of rural Decatur, brother, Eric(Jen)Neuenschwander of rural Berne. Also surviving are 9 nieces and nephews; Corbin, Aaron, and Ben Hirschy, and Callie, Mackenzie, Caiden, Eli Neuenschwander, Alvie and Liam Patch.
Preceding in death are grandparents, Vernon and Ava(Kraft)Liechty and Joel and Lydia(Neuenschwander)Neuenschwander.
A Celebration of Life service is Saturday, January 27 at 3:00 pm at the First Mennonite Church, Berne with visitation one hour prior to the services. Visitation also Friday, January 26 from 1 to 8 pm at the First Mennonite Church sanctuary. Officiating is Pastor Jeff Linthicum. Burial is in the MRE Cemetery, Berne.
