Raymond E. Ehrsam

December 13, 1929 — April 29, 2021

Raymond E. Ehrsam, 91, from Decatur, Indiana passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Adams Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for less than a day.

He was born on December 13, 1929 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Carl Ehrsam and the late Cleo (Foor) Ehrsam.

Ray was united in marriage to Alice Slusher on June 20, 1953 at the Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur and she survives.

Ray was a veteran of the United States Army, being honorably discharged following his service during the Korean War after the attaining the rank of Private First Class.

He was a member of the Pleasant Mills United Methodist Church.

Ray was employed by International Harvester (then Navistar) in Fort Wayne, retiring following 38 years of service.  Following his retirement from Navistar, he worked for Bi-County Services as a van driver, picking clients up in the morning and returning them home in the evening.
