Patrick S. Wood

Patrick S. Wood, 49, of Richmond, Indiana passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Reid Health Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.

He was born on March 27, 1972, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Ronald Wood and the late Carole (Levy) Wood. He was united in marriage to Tina Napier on December 16, 2000, at Lifeway Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Patrick proudly served his country in the United States Army and the Army National Guard where he served as a Combat Engineer and Army Ranger. He was honorably discharged in 2004.

He previously worked for INDOT, East Allen County Schools, and the Carpentry Union.

Patrick loved to work with his hands, building things and working on cars. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, especially watching his son play.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Wood of Richmond, Indiana; two sons, Cody Wood of Germany and Justin Wood of Richmond, Indiana; two daughters, Kelsey Wood of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Megan Wood of Richmond, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an unborn child; brother, Jeffrey Wood; and a sister, Cheryal Garren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2021, at Lifeway Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana (7722 Moeller Rd, Fort Wayne, Indiana) with Pastor Rick Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery, in New Haven, Indiana.

Family and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at the church on Friday, October 22, 2021.

Preferred memorials can be given to the family (checks payable to the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home).
