Olive “Grace” Darrah, 83, of Geneva, Indiana passed away early Friday morning, February 22, 2019 at Dunkirk-Millers Merry Manor.
Grace was born on December 27, 1935 at home – on Rock Fork Road in Morehead, Kentucky to the late James Lowell Thompson and late Rena Jane (Roberts) Thompson. She spent many years with her partner Rex Jay Darrah.
She was employed for many years as a seamstress in numerous factories. She also was an escort for her dear partner Rex while traveling the country delivering mobile homes.
Grace enjoyed spending her mornings at McDonald’s with her dear friend Ellen Hirschy. She was a very talented seamstress, and loved crocheting. She always had a camera with her, capturing all of life’s important moments.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzette Renee Wills of Marble Falls, Texas; son, Richard Jay Darrah of Cumming, Georgia; daughter, Sharon Crago of Geneva, Indiana; sister Maryme Marie McDonald of Michigan City, Indiana; two grandsons, Dustin Crago and Nicholas Michael Wills; and two great-grandchildren, Thomas Allen Ethan Wilson and Destiny Wildermuth.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Alford; five sisters, Elsie Thompson, Clara Ritchie, Beulah Masters, Annie Logan, Rosa Nellie Johnson; four brothers, Kelly Thompson, Fred Thompson, Lester Thompson, and Jessie Thompson; and Grace’s four legged best friend Scottie.
Per Grace’s wishes there will be no services.
