Nancy S. Hall

Nancy S. Hall, 75, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Adams Woodcrest following a short illness.

She was born on May 8, 1948, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Warren L. and Betty J. (Faudree) Kunkel.

Nancy was united in marriage to James M. Hall on September 28, 1973, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen and served on the Altar Guild. She was a member of Settlers, Inc. and enjoyed learning about Early American hand arts and history.

Nancy was employed by Tokheim Corporation for many years. Thereafter, she worked at a telecommunications company in Decatur until her retirement.

Nancy, a diehard Cubs fan, enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Jim Hall of Decatur, Indiana; son, Gary (Dawn) Hall of Hoagland, Indiana; sister, Judy Brudi of New Haven, Indiana; sister, Debby Kjellin of Primm Springs, Tennessee; brother, Dennis Kunkel of Lanesville, Indiana; two grandsons, Jacob Hall and Skyler Hall; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Diss.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023, at St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen, with Pastor Peter Brock officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Preferred memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen (General Fund) or (Tanzania Mission Fund).
