Minnie Viola Andrews

Minnie Viola Andrews, 86, of Decatur, Indiana passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019, at her residence.

She was born on September 8, 1932 in Pleasant Mills, Indiana to the late Adrian and Bessie (Burkhart) Myers. She was united in marriage to Albert L. Andrews on July 19, 1953 in Willshire, Ohio.

Minnie was a member of the Decatur Church of God, Jolly House Wives Home Ec. Club, and she was a faithful servant of God.

She was a graduate of Wren High School Class of 1950, and was a homemaker.

Minnie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Albert L. Andrews of Decatur; daughter, Jill (Kevin) Counterman of Willshire, Ohio; son, Roger (Julie) Andrews of Decatur; son, Jerald (Colleen) Andrews of Decatur; son, Steve Andrews of Decatur; daughter, Robin (David) Myers  of Decatur; sister, Judy (John) Tumbleson of Wren, Ohio; brother, David (Carolyn) Myers of Ohio City, Ohio; brother, Keith Myers of Ohio City, Ohio; four grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one grandson: Jason David Andrews; one grand daughter-in-law: Renee Andrews; two brothers, Alva & John Myers and two sisters, Edna Ridenour and Georgia McMillion.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home – Decatur with Pastor Sandy Hildebrand officiating. Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home – Decatur and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Preferred memorials are to be made to Decatur Church of God.
