Michael Wayne Bruner

Michael Wayne Bruner, 59, of Berne, Indiana passed away on November 3, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born on July 28, 1960 in Jefferson, Kentucky the son of the late Harley Bruner and the late Colleen (Isaac) Bruner. Mike was united in marriage to Katherine Darlene Wallace in May 1979 in Indiana and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2019.

Mike was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Berne.

Mike was a factory worker at Lord Coating until his health prevented him from continuing.

Mike loved watching westerns, especially the black and white kind. He also was a collector of many items.

Survivors include two daughters, Amber Bruner of Berne, IN and Crystal Swygart of PA; son, Harley “Travis” W. Bruner of Berne, IN; and six grandchildren, Marik Barnett, Ash Barton, Sky Barton, Isaiah Swygart, Haley Bruner, and Justice Barton.

A joint memorial service for both Mike and Kathy Bruner will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the M.R.E Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Russell Fuhrmann and Rev. Don Sauls, Director of Compassionate Ministries officiating. Burial of Mike and Kathy will immediately follow the memorial service.

In honoring Mike’s wishes, there will be no visitation.
