Melissa J. Pax

Melissa J. Pax, 43, of Bluffton, Indiana passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 16, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born on December 8, 1980, in Portland, Indiana to the late Daniel L. Pax and Norma (Wellman) Mangen.

Melissa was a 2000 graduate of South Adams High School.

She enjoyed water aerobics and received an award in 2016 for her many years of participation.

Melissa is survived by her mother, Norma (David) Mangen of Bluffton, Indiana; brother, Kevin (Nicole) Pax of Russiaville, Indiana; step-sister, Denise Mangen of New York, New York; step-sister, Lynn (Charles) Gustin of Piqua, Ohio; six nieces and nephews,  Kayden, Karalee, Elijah, Beckham, Kaytlynn, and Alexis Pax.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Pax in 2006.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne, Indiana with Father David Violi officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s of the Presentation Catholic Cemetery in Geneva, Indiana.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.
