Marvin W. Tague

Marvin W. Tague, 77, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born October 11, 1943 in Madison, Indiana to the late Wayne Tague and the late Betty Jean (Jenkins) Tague.

Marvin was united in marriage on January 17, 1965, to Helen Reppert. They enjoyed almost 56 years together.

He served in the Indiana Air National Guard 122 nd Fighter Wing in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was honorably discharged following his service.

Marvin was a member of Salem Magley Church where he held various positions within the church.

He graduated from Monmouth High School in 1962. He was employed at General Electric in Decatur and Fort Wayne from 1963 until his retirement in 1997. He also worked as a grain inspector for 13 years for Woodson Tenet in Decatur.

Marvin enjoyed hunting, playing cards, golf, IU basketball, Colts Football, woodworking, and yard work.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Tague of Decatur, Indiana; son, Michael (Rachel) Tague of Monroe, Indiana; daughter, Rhonda Moser of Berne, Indiana; daughter, Lisa Tague of Decatur, Indiana; and three grandchildren, Ryan Moser, Cambree Tague, and Sullivan Tague.

He is preceded in death by a son, Rodney Tague; and a son-in-law, Carey “Tater” Moser.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Salem Magley Church with Pastor Christopher Hirschy officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Magley Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at church

Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Salem Magley Church or the Adams County Cancer Coalition.

Arrangements are by Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana.
