Marlene A. Fuhrman

Marlene A. Fuhrman, 91, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur.

She was born on May 19, 1932, in Adams County, Indiana to the late Martin and Ida(Bultemeier) Aumann. Marlene was united in marriage to Otto F. “Moe” Fuhrman on June 1,1957 at St. John Bingen Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death on June 15, 2017.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen, where Marlene served the Lord by singing in the church choir and being a member of the Ladies Guild.  She volunteered for over 30 years at The Lutheran Home.

Marlene was employed by Rignanese, Schannen, Horn, Prange, & Harris CPA’s for 13 years and was employed also at Main Auto Sporting Goods as their office manager. She then worked for George S. Olive CPA for 14 years and retired on October 1, 1981.

Marlene is survived by her son, Jon Martin (Danielle) Fuhrman of Decatur, Indiana; grandson, Jon William (Cayla) Fuhrman of Decatur, Indiana; granddaughter, Emily Fuhrman of Decatur, Indiana; three great-grandchildren, Otto Kenneth, Savannah Danielle, and Evaline Rae Fuhrman; sister-in-law, F. Evelyn Aumann of Decatur, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five sisters, Marie (Morris) Wiegman, Erna (Carl) Melcher, Alvina (Harold) Sauer, Florence (Gilbert) Hoffman, Eloise Aumann, brother, Frederick “Fritz” Aumann.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen with Pastor Peter Brock and Pastor Berett Steffen officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Bingen.

Family and friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers preferred memorials can be given to St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen or Stillwater Hospice.
