Marilyn J. Meyer, 67, of Willshire, Ohio passed away Wednesday morning, April 1, 2020, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford, Ohio.
She was born November 12, 1952 in Decatur, Indiana to Lowell Alvin “Bub” & Frances L. (Huston) Thatcher. Her parents preceded her in death.
She married Stephen “Gep” Meyer on March 16, 1974 in Mt. Zion Church in Bobo, Indiana.
Marilyn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Schumm, Ohio and had previously been involved in the Ladies Aid at the church.
She retired from Manley Meats in Monroe and had previously worked at CTS in Berne, Indiana.
She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, mowing, and sewing. She also had a large Salt & Pepper Collection. Marilyn loved her grandkids and spending time with them.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Meyer of Willshire, Ohio; three sons, Craig Meyer of Willshire, Ohio, Corey Meyer of Convoy, Ohio, and Codey (Ashley) Meyer of Ohio City, Ohio; three sisters, Joyce Kenny of Decatur, Indiana, Janice Juarez of Kentucky, and Julia Jenkins of Decatur, Indiana; and five grandchildren, Clayton Meyer, Cora Meyer, Zavior Bailey, Myka Meyer, and Kinsley Meyer.
Due to guidelines established by the State of Indiana in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, private family services will be held. Private burial was held at Fletcher Cemetery of Convoy, Ohio.
Preferred memorials are to Wren Fire Department.
