Marilyn Marie Ball, 91, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, entered the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022.
She was born on Monday, December 29, 1930 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frank Landstoffer and Donna (Plattner) Landstoffer.
Following her graduation from Precious Blood Catholic High School in Fort Wayne, she met James A. “Jim” Ball. They were united in marriage on June 10, 1950 at the Precious Blood Catholic Church in Fort Wayne, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2002.
Marilyn served her family as a homemaker and previously worked as a car hop and waitress in Ft. Wayne.
Visiting with family was one of Marilyn’s favorite past times and she cherished that time spent together. She also enjoyed watching TV, and visiting garage sales, though she was generally a more private person.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Beth Ann (James L.) Bay of Ashley, Indiana; 2 Grandsons; 5 Great-grandchildren; her brother, James (Arlene) Landstoffer of New Haven, Indiana; and Sister-in-law, Rita Landstoffer of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Landstoffer, Larry Landstoffer and Bob Landstoffer; and a sister, Joan Landstoffer.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday, July 1, 2022, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana followed by a graveside service at Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the Parkview Hospice or Ft. Wayne Rescue Mission and may be sent to Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home at 520 N. 2 nd Street, Decatur, IN 46733.
