Lynn Charles Stucky

Lynn Charles Stucky, 66, of Hoagland, Indiana passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Adams Memorial Hospital.

He was born on November 17, 1955, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Paul Stucky and Jeannette (Rawley) Stucky.

Lynn was united in marriage to Carol Niemeyer on June 12, 1982.

He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.

Lynn worked for Lincoln National Life for 30 years, and then retired from the IRS in 2019.

Lynn dearly loved his children, grandchildren, and wife of 40 years. He was an avid IU fan, enjoyed playing pickleball and volunteering at his church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Stucky of Hoagland, Indiana; daughter, Abigail (Michael) Hansen of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two sons, Matthew (Amanda) Stucky of Grayslake, Illinois, and Nathaniel (Kalynne) Stucky of Indianapolis, Indiana; mother, Jeannette Stucky of Monroe, Indiana; two sisters, Joan (Ron) Shivley and Sandra (Rick) Krill both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren; Clark, Caleb, and Carter Hansen; Evelynn & Scarlett Stucky; mother-in-law, Arlene Niemeyer of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Carol’s siblings, sister-in-law,   Kayleen (Randy) Hormann of Hoagland, Indiana; brother-in-law,  Jon (Deb) Niemeyer of Hoagland, Indiana; sister-in-law, Cathy (Dave Griebel) Niemeyer of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother-in-law, Don (Myra) Niemeyer of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.

Lynn was preceded in death by father, Paul Stucky; father-in-law, Kenneth Niemeyer; and a niece, Meghan Hormann.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church 3425 Crescent Ave, Fort Wayne, Indiana with Rev. Dr. Thomas Ahlersmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Gardens Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Friends and family will be received from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, Lynn’s family would ask that memorials be directed to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne through Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, 520 North Second Street, Decatur, IN   46733.

Arrangements are by Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana.
