Lon L. Linker, 70, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Friday morning, September 27, 2024 at his residence.
He was born on August 10, 1954 in Decatur, Indiana to the late Leonard and Luella (Nahrwold) Linker.
Lon was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling.
He was employed at International Harvest for 10 years before their closing. He also worked at Adams County CO-OP Williams for 33 years before retiring in 2016. After retirement, he helped his friends with their farm needs.
Lon & Corina enjoyed watching the Komets. They were season ticket holders for many years, and rarely missed a game.. Lon loved the Indiana Hoosiers and the Chicago Bears, no matter how bad of a season, he would have stayed dedicated.
Survivors include his companion of 31years, Corina S. (Griner) Lister of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Melissa (Darrell) Muldoon of Monroeville, Indiana; son, Randy (Jenn) Linker of New Haven, Indiana; a young man I raised liked my son, Zacary W. (Kaitlin Sellers) Lister of Berne, Indiana; brother, Duane “Denny” (Lavera) Linker of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, Davey (Jane) Linker of Monroeville, Indiana; sister, Linda (Loren) Juday of Texas; sister-in-law, Arlene Linker of Fort Wayne, Indiana; six grandchildren, Lindsey (James) Anderson, Bristol Muldoon, Jacob Linker, Caleb Linker, Brody Linker, and Jameson Lister; one great-grandson, Waylon Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
Lon was preceded in death by three brothers, Byron, Kenny, and Terry Linker; and a sister, Janice Linker.
Per Lon’s request there will be no public services.
Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
Preferred memorial can be given to ACCF Angel Fund – Cancer or St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling.
