Lois Erline Wulliman

Lois Erline Wulliman, 83, of Berne, Indiana passed away Monday evening, February 27, 2023, at Swiss Village in Berne, Indiana.

She was born on October 24, 1939, in Berne, Indiana to the late Clarence Steiner and the late Evangeline (Nussbaum) Steiner. She was united in marriage to Roscoe Wulliman on June 27, 1957, in Berne, Indiana.

Lois was a member of Grace Bible Church in Berne and taught 2 & 3-year-old Sunday School Class for many years. She was also a member of the Modern Homemakers Club.

She faithfully served her family as a homemaker and was also a seamstress sewing many wedding dresses and bridal party gowns. Lois was employed at Ben Franklin and retired at Swiss Village in housekeeping.

Lois loved all sports; especially, I.U. basketball and football. She also enjoyed fishing. Most of all she enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren swim competitively.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roscoe Wulliman of Berne, Indiana; daughter, Gwendolyn (Larry) Maller of Berne, Indiana; daughter, Trisha (Greg) Mishler of Crawfordsville, Indiana; daughter, Tara (Rod) Farlow of Berne, Indiana; sister, Alice (Duane) Bluhm of Berne, Indiana; sister, Carol (Ron) Yoder of Berne, Indiana; sister, Jan (Bob) Hawkins of Huntertown, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Chris (Daniece) Maller, Mistylee (Derek) Taylor, Ashley Armstrong, Brittany (Kyle) Hembree, Dane (Haley) Mishler, Hilary (Devin) Kelly, Cole (Addy) Farlow, Cady (Grant) Wilson, and Caralie (Evan) Ferguson; and nine great-grandchildren with three on the way.

Lois was preceded in death by an infant son, Trent Turner Wulliman and an infant daughter, Tamara Sue Wulliman.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Swiss Village Auditorium with Rev. Dr. Jeff Gaskill officiating. Burial will follow at M.R.E. Cemetery of rural Berne.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2023, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne and also one hour prior to the service at Swiss Village Tuesday.
