Linda J. Fosnaugh

Linda J. Fosnaugh, 77, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Adams Woodcrest.

She was born on May 9, 1946 in Rockford Ohio to the late Harry Beougher and the late Bertha (Daugherty) Beougher.

Linda was united in marriage to Marvin W. Fosnaugh on January 25, 1964 at the Church of the Nazarene in Decatur, and he preceded her in death on April 14, 2020.

Linda was a member of Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene in Berne, where she served the Lord as a Sunday School Teacher, sang in the choir, and assisted with funeral dinners.  She was a waitress and salad lady at the Palmer House.

Linda was very interested in her family’s genealogy, and the family held reunions for over 100 years, which she was the president of.  She loved to garden and raise flowers, especially roses.  She also enjoyed Elvis Presley’s music.

Survivors include her son, Gene (Robin) Fosnaugh of Warsaw, Indiana; son, Douglas (Emma) Fosnaugh of Decatur, Indiana; son, David (Kim) Fosnaugh of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Mary Lou Thorson of Kankankee, Illinois; brother, Frank (Alice) Beougher of Celina, Ohio; sister, Shirley Sutton of Van Wert, Ohio, and five grandchildren, Tyler Fosnaugh, Alyson Fosnaugh, Ashlee Fosnaugh, Michelle Fosnaugh, and Alexander Fosnaugh.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Beougher and Daniel Beougher; and five sisters, Eileen West, Catherine Beougher, Kathleen Burk, Marilyn Kline and Janelle Williams.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene, Berne, Indiana, with Pastor David Cox officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Berne, Indiana.
Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene, Berne, Indiana.

Preferred memorials can be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
