Leo Joseph Sewards

Leo Joseph Sewards, a baptized child of God, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

He was born on April 24, 2025 to Cody and Mikaela Sewards at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Leo, along with his parents are members of St. John Lutheran Church-Flatrock.

Cody is employed at Nucor-Vulcraft in St. Joe, Indiana. Mikaela is employed at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne as a Radiologist (x-ray) Technologist.

Since the moment we found out about him, he touched our lives deeply. Leo showed us the true meaning of strength by defying the odds and being a protector for Jaxon. His light shined bright and he showed us the undeniable power of faith in the Lord.

Leo is survived by his parents, Cody and Mikaela Sewards; brother, Cameron Sewards; and twin brother, Jaxon Wayne Sewards of St. Joe, Indiana; maternal grandparents, Travis (Julie) Miller of Fort Wayne, Indiana; paternal grandmother, Angel (Bradley) Schiek of Waterloo, Indiana; paternal grandfather, Jeremy (Melissa) Sewards of St. Joe, Indiana; maternal great-grandmother, Joan Miller of Fort Wayne, Indiana; maternal great-grandparents, Rich (Marilyn) Melcher of Albion, Indiana; paternal great-grandparents, Daniel (Brenda) Sewards of Spencerville, Indiana; great-grandmother Nancy Elkins of Fremont, Indiana; great-grandfather Norman Elkins of Auburn, Indiana; aunts and uncles, Alexis Miller, Dillion (Jasmine) Simpkins, Mercedes Sewards; and sponsors Zachariah Miller and Mackenzie (Dravin) Kimpel.

Private services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church-Flatrock.

Friends and family will be received from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church-Flatrock.
