Lela Leona Moser, 95, of Geneva, Indiana passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, surrounded by her family at Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton, Indiana.
She was born on August 26, 1926, in Noble County to the late Ernest R. Sharp and the late Mable (Harms) Sharp. Lela was united in marriage to Earl James Moser on August 31, 1945, and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2016.
She faithfully served her family as a home maker and helped on the family farm.
She attended West Missionary Church for over 70 years.
Lela enjoyed her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling, fishing, and baking. While traveling in her younger years to Colorado she shot a 12 point buck.
Survivors include her daughter, Celia (James “Ed”) Dunmoyer of Geneva, Indiana; son-in-law, Roger Terrell of Bluffton, Indiana; five grandsons; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Lela was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte Terrell; two sisters, Evelyn Patton and Mildred Enoch; and a brother, Ray Sharp.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at West Missionary Church in Berne, Indiana with Pastor Keith Rupp and Pastor Dean Terrell officiating. Burial will follow in the M.R.E. Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel, Berne and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Preferred memorials can be given to West Missionary Church.
