Lee Norris

October 7, 1964 — August 4, 2022

Lee Ellen Norris, 57, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on October 7, 1964, in Kendallville, Indiana to Charles W. and Genelda L. (Clay) Norris.

She was a Health Aide and a Title I Officer with Fort Wayne Community Schools for three years.  After her ordination she worked as one of the Chaplains for Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.  She has officiated many weddings and life events and is fondly remembered by those whose lives she touched.  Lee also spent many years working in the Pheresis Department and Record Archives of the American Red Cross.

Lee was deeply spiritual and loved nature.  She enjoyed gardening, music, books, telling stories and spending time with family and friends. She had a passion for Genealogy and a love for studying different cultural rituals and religious practices. She was a life-long learner!

Survivors include her sister, Joni K. (David) Jeffrey of Galena, Ohio; cousin and dear friend, Jill Grabner of Monroeville, Indiana; three goddaughters, Jennifer L. (James) Shutt,  Lindsie L. Molthan and Leah M. (Robert) Cross all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; their children,  Kalin "Leo" & Martin Shutt, August "Gus" Molthan, Addison "Addie" Heckert & Rowan Cross, who thought of her as "Grandma Lee"; many dear cousins and extended family members; and of course, her loving feline companion, Levi.

Lee was preceded in death by her parents; and a son at birth, Jason Norris.

A memorial service for Lee will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville with a private interment to follow at Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.  Susan Kinney will officiate.

Family and friends will be received from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials can be given to Black Pine Animal Sanctuary.

Arrangements are by Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana.
