Lee J. Eaton

Lee J. Eaton, 68, of Decatur, Ind. passed away Sunday morning, January 7, 2024 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur.

Lee was born May 13, 1955 to the late James Robert Eaton and the late Katherine (Hagerman) Eaton in Michigan. He retired from Fleetwood (REV) in 2021.

Lee was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps following his service during the Vietnam War and post war era.

He was an outdoors man who loved working with his hands.  He was fond of camping, fishing, working on cars, spending time with his grandchildren, and cooking on the grill.

Lee is loving survived by his daughter, Rachel Conley of Fort Wayne, Ind.; companion, Robin Carpenter of Decatur; step-daughter, Tehila (Clifford) Howe of Decatur; step-son, Cody Schnelle of Decatur; sister, Marjorie (Richard) Smith of Michigan; twin sister, Lisa Snyder of Kansas; and seven grandchildren: Devion Conley, Daitwan Conley - Braxton, Parker Howe, Zakery Howe, Corbyn Howe, Levi Schnelle, and Chloe Schnelle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Raivon Conley – Braxton.

There will be no service for Lee. The family will receive friends and family from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur.

Preferred memorials are to the family, with checks payable to Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home.
