Kevin D. Snyder

Kevin D. Snyder, 56, of Hoagland, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at his residence following a year and a half battle with cancer.

He was born on July 9, 1967, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Kevin was united in marriage in December of 1986, to Christine (Igney) Snyder and she survives.

Kevin was very proud of his job as a Commodity Relocation Specialist (aka over-the-road truck driver), most recently being employed by Davis Wholesale Supply in Indianapolis.

Kevin had an infectious way of making everyone around him laugh…even in the face of adversity.  He was a forcible helper to many (even if they didn’t want it…).  He valued the brief time he spent with his grandchildren and the lifetime of memories he created with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Chris Snyder of Hoagland, Indiana; two daughters, Heather (Robert) Bliven of Monroeville, Indiana and Amanda (Jake) Grogg of Hoagland, Indiana; four grandchildren, Alex Snyder-Bliven, Bobby Bliven, Skylar Snyder, and Reina Grogg; and three sisters and a brother also survive.

In following Kevin’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time.

Preferred memorials can be given to the Wounded Warrior Project and mailed to the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home – 520 N. 2nd St. Decatur, Indiana.
