Kerry D. Hoffman

Kerry D. Hoffman, 65, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, at his residence following an illness for two years. 

He was born on February 27, 1959, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Wilmer Hoffman and Marilyn Rose (Bultemeier) Hoffman, who survives. 

Kerry was a member of St. John Lutheran-Flatrock where he served as the Deacon, Elder, and Trustee. He was also a member of Hoagland Area Advancement Association (HAAA) for many years. 

Kerry was a 1977 graduate of Heritage High School. Following high school, he began the skilled trade in the glass industry. He ended his career as a Glazier with Hall Aluminum Products for 20 years. 

He enjoyed golfing, fishing and tending to his garden. Kerry maintained a very active social life among his friends. He was “mean uncle Kerry” with his nephews and nieces, whom they and their children grew to love and adore as one of their favorite uncles.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Rose Hoffman of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister, Kristie (Kurt) Leffers of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister, Kelly (Brian) Blair of New Haven, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews that adored him. 

In addition to his father Wilmer Hoffman, Kerry was preceded in death by sister and brother in law; Kim and Bob Rauner.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church – Flatrock with Pastor Douglas Christian officiating. 

 A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church – Flatrock from 3:00 pm- 8:00 pm. 

 Preferred memorials are to St. John Lutheran- Flatrock or Worship Anew.
