Kent Alan Frederick

Kent Alan Frederick, 65, of Fort Wayne, Ind. passed away Saturday morning, February 18, 2023 at his residence.

Kent was born December 11, 1957 in Fort Wayne to the late Howard Frederick and the late Eileen (Scherer) Frederick. He was a 1976 graduate of Heritage High School and a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling.

Known for his sense of humor and ability to connect with others, Kent loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing.

Kent retired from General Electric after 30 years of service.

Kent is survived his daughter, Laurie Frederick of Decatur, Ind.; daughter, Emily (Joshua) Simmons of Monroeville, Ind.; son, Ryan Frederick of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Beth (Daniel) Will of Monroeville and Sara Kidd of Fort Wayne; and seven grandchildren: Connor, Lleyton, Lainey and Graham Simmons; and Alivia, Jake and Bryce Frederick.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2023 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling with Pastor Leonard Tanksley officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Preferred memorials are to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana and Parkview Hospice.

Arrangements are by the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana
