Kay Price

Kay Price, 74, formerly of Decatur, Indiana passed away Saturday morning, November 30, 2024, at Ossian Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ossian, Ind.

Kay was born February 11, 1950, in Decatur to the late Burl and Charlene (Barnhouse) Fuhrman.

 Kay was united in marriage to Ronald E. Price in December of 1986, at the Botanical Conservatory in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Kay graduated from Huntertown High School and was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church

Kay was a small business owner. She enjoyed traveling throughout the country and especially enjoyed spending time in Arizona. She was a gifted quilter. 

Kay is survived by her husband, Ronald E. Price of Ossian; son, Mark DeWitt of Fort Wayne, Ind.; son, Chad DeWitt of Fort Wayne; three brothers, Charlie Fuhrman of Delphi, Ind., Phil Fuhrman of Indianapolis, Ind., and Carl Fuhrman of Syracuse, Ind.; three step-children, Kevin (Patty) Price of Decatur, Athena (Roger) Roe of Bluffton, Ind., and Taya (Rich) Sills of Bluffton; caregiver, Amy Pogue of Decatur; nephew, Kevin (Judy) Fuhrman of Decatur; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Fuhrman, and sister, Dorothy Fuhrman.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur with Celebrant Dave McIntire officiating.

Graveside services and burial will be on Monday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Eel River Cemetery in Churubusco, Indiana.

Family and friends will be received from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Friday, December 6 at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. 

Preferred memorials are to PAWS of Adams County.
