Julaine S. Hockemeyer, 77, of New Haven, Indiana passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Parkview Randallia Hospital.
She was born on July 12, 1943 in Decatur, Indiana to the late Conrad Gallmeyer and late Martha (Buuck) Gallmeyer. Julaine was united in marriage to Larry L. Hockemeyer on June 14, 1963 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble.
She was a high school graduate from Monmouth High School in 1961. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven, where she was a part of the finance committee until her health prevented her from continuing. Julaine was involved with the Canal Days organization in New Haven for many years and supported the MDA.
She was a bank manager in the finance department for Wells Fargo. She was a member of the President’s Club while at Wells Fargo.
Julaine enjoyed going to the lake with Larry and while at the lake jet skiing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Hockemeyer of New Haven, Indiana; daughter, Lori (Tony) Conrad of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Dawn Collins of New Haven, Indiana; son, Todd (Tami) Hockemeyer of New Haven, Indiana; brother, Don (Mary Ann) Gallmeyer of New Haven, Indiana; sister, Delores (Dave) Nahrwold of Woodburn, Indiana; brother, Jerry (Bonnie) Gallmeyer of Ossian, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Logan Schieferstein, Shelby Schieferstein-Wenger, Hailey Murray, Madison Schieferstein, Anthony Schieferstein, Natasha Schieferstein, Hannah Lengerich, Victoria Hockemeyer and Kathryn Hockemeyer and eight great-grandchildren, Ronan, Regaen, Brantley, Isabelle, Kade, Ryker, Makenna and Addison.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Delbert & Robert Gallmeyer; and a sister, Erna Koenemann.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven, Indiana with Pastor David Stecker officiating. Burial will take place at Concordia Cemetery Gardens in Fort Wayne.
Friends and family will be received from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven, Indiana and one hour prior to services on Thursday, also at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that preferred memorials are to Emanuel Lutheran Church, Central Lutheran School, Worship Anew or Parkview Hospice.
Arrangements are by Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana.
