Judy A. Liter

Judy A. Liter, 75, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur, Indiana.

She was born on January 19, 1946 in Patriot, Indiana to the late Merlelyn Mountz and Irene (Courtney) Mountz. Judy was united in marriage to Jim Liter on June 19, 1964 in Patriot, Indiana he passed away on July 30, 1995.

She was the valedictorian of Patriot High School Class of 1964. Judy retired from Thunderbird Boat Company after more than 20 years of service in the upholstery department.

She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  Judy loved to cook, bake, and scrapbook.  She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Judy is survived by three sons, Darin (Suze) Liter of Decatur, Indiana, Shawn (Ana) Liter of Decatur, Indiana and Matt (Stacey) Liter of Decatur, Indiana; brother, Lucian Mountz of Decatur, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Megan (Brad) Jinnings, Luke (Mykala) Liter, Nick Liter, Sarah Liter, Bailey Liter, Whitnie (Bryan) Aponte, Samantha (Jake) Minnich, Emily Liter, Lillie Liter, and James Liter; and five great-grandchildren, Meredith Jinnings, Jackson Jinnings, Deacon Liter, Maddox Aponte, and Caroline Aponte.

She was preceded in death by a son, Merle Liter; brother, Irvin Mountz; and sister, Donna Kay West.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2021, at Zwick & Jahn Fuenral Home in Decatur with Pastor Ernie Suman officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received from 12:00 p.m. Noon to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
