Joyce Elaine Fox

Joyce Elaine Fox, 82, of Berne, Indiana passed away on October 19, 2019 at her residence following an unexpected medical event.

She was born on November 8, 1936 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Harry Lehman and the late Esther (Reinhard) Lehman. Joyce was united in marriage to Edward Fox on April 20, 1957 at the First Mennonite Church in Berne and he survives following 62 years of marriage.

She was a lifelong member of First Mennonite Church in Berne, where she served on the Library Committee.

Joyce worked in the office at Berne Furniture for 10 years. She retired from EP Graphics as a Human Resource Representative following 20 plus years of service.

Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, traveling, cooking, puzzles and entertaining guests.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Fox of Berne; two sons, Thomas (Kathy) Fox and Jonathan (Mary) Fox both of Berne; daughter, Mary (Jeff) Veal of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, Emily (Tim) Ludden, Matthew (Jill) Fox, Alexia (Ben) Schamp, Blake (Lyndsey) Fox, Nicole Veal, Chad Veal, and Christina Veal; and one great-grandchild, Blakelyn Fox.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Max Lehman.

Following a private interment at M.R.E. cemetery, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2019 at the First Mennonite Church in Berne with Pastor Jim Schwartz officiating.

Friends will be received from 12 noon – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne and visitation one hour prior to the memorial service on Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, Joyce’s family would ask for memorial donations to be made to the Missions at First Mennonite Church in Berne.
