John E. Parker, 75, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his residence.
He was born on January 27, 1947, in Huntington, Indiana to the late William K. and the late Mary (Goudy) Parker.
John was a member of Decatur Church of God where he also, was the Divorce Care Facilitator for adults.
He was employed by Sysco Food Service in sales and management for 30 years, he retired in 2008. He also was a part-time substitute teacher in Adams County, in which he gave his heart. John volunteered his time and his talent to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission and the Red Cross.
John was very patriotic, loved God and country. He was salesman extraordinaire.
He is survived by his companion, Sue Robinson of Decatur, Indiana; son, Andrew John “A.J.” (Anne-Mette) Parker of Fishers, Indiana; daughter, Sarah A. Baker of Roanoke, Indiana; daughter, Emily S. Parker of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Samuel E. (Christine) Parker of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, James E. (Becky) Parker of Churubusco, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Cassie Blackburn, Mikayla Parker, Megan Parker, Mia Parker, Will Vance, Andy Vance, Elizabeth Parker, and Jack Parker.
A Memorial Service for John will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2022, at the Decatur Church of God in Decatur, Indiana.
Preferred memorials can be made to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
