Jeffery L Colwell

Jeffery L. Colwell, 58, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

He was born on August 14, 1964 in Celina, Ohio to the late Everett Colwell and the late Betty (Williams) Colwell.

Jeff was united in marriage to his true love Donna O’Dell on June 21, 2008, and they celebrated 15 years of marriage together.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army and following active duty he served in the United States Army Reserves.

Jeff was employed by Allen Protection Services working in Adams, Allen, and Jay Counties.

He had a strong bond with his dog Snoopy and enjoyed taking him on walks. Jeff enjoyed all types of animals.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Donna Colwell of Decatur, Indiana; brother, Everett Alan (Nancy) Colwell of Decatur, Indiana; and brother, Lowell G. (Margaret) Colwell of Decatur, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry N. Colwell and Terry L. Colwell.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana, with Pastor Greg Andrews officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Post #43.

Family and friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur.

Preferred memorials can be given to the family (checks payable to Zwick & Jahn Funeral Homes).
