Jed A. Nussbaum

Jed A. Nussbaum, 72, of Berne, Indiana passed away Friday evening, March 7, 2025, at Adams Woodcrest surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 19, 1952, in Decatur, Indiana to the late James H. and Joyce I. (Brewster) Nussbuam. Jed was united in marriage to Jolandia S. Becher on December 16, 1972, at Peace Lutheran Church in Berne, Indiana.

Jed was a member of Monroe Lighthouse in Monroe, Indiana.

He was a 1971 graduate of Adams Central High School. He was an owner and partner with his sons at Nussbaum Mechanical in Berne, Indiana.

Jed had a love for tractor pulling that began from an early age and that love lasted throughout his life. His greatest joy was found spending time with grandchildren and great-grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Jolandia S. Nussbaum of Berne, Indiana; son, Jason L. (Tanya) Nussbaum of Monroe, Indiana; daughter, Julie L. (Dave) Myers of Monroe, Indiana; son, Jared L. (April) Nussbaum of Berne, Indiana; brother, Jan E. (Vick) Nussbaum of Monroe, Indiana; sister, Joni M. (Brent) Lehman of Berne, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Lilly (Alex Fiechter) Myers, Audra (Bryce) Baumgartner, Alana (Brant) Thieme, James (Jalyne) Myers, Lauren (Ben Butler) Nussbaum, Jordan Nussbaum, Jacob (Lexie McKibben) Myers, Logan Nussbaum, Londin Nussbaum, Jadynn Nussbaum; three step-granddaughters, Samantha Weigel, Shelby Weigel, and Lily Weigel; and two great-grandsons, Rulon Lee Baumgartner and True Marshal Myers.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the Monroe Lighthouse Church in Monroe, Indiana with Pastor Dave Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Ray Cemetery in rural Monroe, Indiana.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Preferred memorials can be given to the A.C.C.F. – Diabetes Fund or the Adams County 4-H.
