Jeannette L. Yoder, 93, of Berne, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at Swiss Village.
She was born on August 26, 1930 in Adams County, Indiana to Lewis and Sadie (Biberstine) Strahm.
She was married to Kenneth E. Yoder on November 30, 1952, and he preceded her in death on June 18, 2014.
Jeannette was a lifelong member of the Berne Evangelical Church.
She was employed at Berne Hardware for several years and was a homemaker for over 60 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved playing games and doing puzzles with family.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Jennifer L. Grigson of McKinney, Texas; son, Jay Yoder of Independence, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Heidi Skelton, Holly Grigson, Travis Grigson, Michael (Larina) Yoder, and Aaron (Chrissy) Yoder; sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jeanette was preceded in death by her brothers, Lester Strahm, Alvin Strahm, and Roger Strahm and a sister, Florine (Strahm) Edwards.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Swiss Village Chapel in Berne, Indiana with visitation from 9:30 until the time of service. Pastor Mike Wertenberger will officiate and burial will follow at Berne Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Swiss Village Samaritan Fund.
