Jeanne E. Nass, 91, of Decatur, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Indiana.
She was born on February 23, 1932, in Hartford, Wisconsin, to the late Frederick Uebele and the late Irma (Mittlestaedt) Uebele. Jeanne was united in marriage to Everett H. Nass on May 29, 1954, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on November 19, 2017.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur.
Jeanne graduated from West Allis Central High School in June 1949. She was a homemaker, and dedicated to caring for her family.
Jeanne enjoyed reading, and gardening…she was never afraid of change. Throughout her life she adapted to technology and embraced the challenges that life would bring. In raising her family, she had to move several times and learned the customs of each new community, teaching her children the same characteristics that she embodied. Jeanne enjoyed making new friends at the Woodcrest Retirement Community where she participated in various activities.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith (Robert) Raffin of Troy, Michigan and Nancy (Dave) Hendrickson of Waterville Valley, New Hampshire; two sons, John (Leslie) Nass of Harrison Township, Michigan and Robert (Corlis) Nass of Kalamazoo, Michigan; sister-in-law, Gail Uebele of Tomahawk, Wisconsin; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothea Frank; and two brothers, Carlton and Frederick Uebele.
In following Jeanne’s wishes, private family services will be held at a later date.
