Jayne A. Minnich

Jayne A. Minnich, 66, of Hoagland, Indiana passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Adams Heritage in Monroeville, Indiana.

She was born on July 22, 1956, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Kenneth and Rosemary (Gillman) Michell.

Jayne was united in marriage to Stanley J. Minnich on February 23, 1980 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel.

She was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel.  Jayne graduated from Wayne High School in 1974.

She was a homemaker.

Jayne enjoyed fishing, crafts, canning, gardening when she was able to and loved baking and cooking with her granddaughters.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Stanley Minnich of Hoagland, Indiana; son, Jake (Stacy) Minnich of Fort Wayne, Indiana; honorary daughter raised by Stan and Jayne, Ellie Beachy of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister, Judi Richards of Fort Wayne, Indiana; twin sister, Jeanne (Gary) Minnich of Monroeville, Indiana; brother, Bob (Jane) Michell of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, Jim (Ann) Michell of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two granddaughters, Ava and Clara Minnich and two honorary grandchildren, La’Nyla and Brayleon.

Jayne was preceded in death by a son, Joshua J. Minnich on February 3, 2001; mother-in-law, Vivian A. Minnich on January 2, 2023; father-in-law, Max Minnich; and brother-in-law, Mike Richards.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel with Father William Kummer officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Hessen Cassel.

Friends and family will be received from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

The Holy Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville.

Preferred memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel, St. Joseph Catholic School, Hessen Cassel, Monroeville EMS or Hoagland EMS.
