Janet Marie Hockin

Janet Marie Hockin, 85, of Berne, Indiana passed away Sunday morning, August 18, 2024, at Adams Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 10, 1939, in Sylvania, Ohio to the late Albra “Pete” Clark and Mildred and Mildred (Papenhagen) Clark.

Janet was united in marriage to Robert Hockin on February 11, 1961, at Ottawa Lake, Michigan.

She served her family as a homemaker.

Janet enjoyed crocheting daily for many years until she was unable. She loved bird watching and her flowers. Janet traveled around the state to play bingo. Bob and Janet in their earlier years spent time Square Dancing. Her most treasured thing in life was her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bob Hockin of Berne, Indiana; son, Robert (Debbie) Hockin Jr. of Pensacola, Florida; son, Daniel (Laura) Hockin of Berne, Indiana’ daughter, Laurie (Karl) Gee of Williamsport, Indiana; sister, Sandra Beaver of Blissfield, Michigan; sister, Jeanne (George) Bates of Erie, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Heather (Blaine) Graham, April (Kevin) Overby, Brian (Anna) Hockin, Ashley (Kurtis) Guenzel, Boone (Chelsea) Rogers, Emily (Jared) Baker, Bryanna (Aaron) Osborne, Zachary Buckingham, and Darren Gee and 31 great-grandchildren

Janet was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Victoria Buckingham and a brother Duane Clark.

A Private Family Celebration of Life will be announced at later date.
