James S. “Bub” Moore Jr., 54 of Monroeville, Indiana passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center – Ft. Wayne.
He was born on September 13, 1969 in Muncie, Indiana to the late James Moore Sr. and the late Mary Gail (Fosnight) Moore.
Bub was a 1988 graduate of Muncie Central High School. He was employed by the Monroeville Box and Pallet for several years before he was diagnosed with cancer, which led to him becoming disabled. He also worked at the Flying J Truckstop in New Haven.
Bub appreciated being outside and helping people. He was a very hard worker and loved his family along with animals. In his free time, he found relaxation in cooking, fishing, and being involved with nature. He also found pleasure in work projects around the home. One of his greatest accomplishments was finishing a front porch railing at his house.
Survivors include his brother, BJ (Stella) Moore of Monroeville, Indiana; brother, James Martin Black of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Connie (Jose) Stanley of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister, Pamela “Suzie” Moore of Muncie, Indiana; sister, Tina Moore of Muncie, Indiana; sister, Ashlie (Jole) Velazquez of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including nephew, Dakota Addington with whom he had a special bond.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
Preferred memorials can be made payable to Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home and mailed to 520 North Second Street, Decatur, IN 46733 and will be used for cremation expenses.
