Isabel “Isy” Mae King, 89, of Decatur Indiana, passed away on May 7, 2021, at the Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Indiana.
She was born December 29, 1931 in Decatur, Indiana, the daughter of the late William Cook and the late Pearl Mae (Gause) Cook. Isabel was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” King on December 22, 1956 in Adams County, Indiana. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1983.
Isabel was a homemaker and in addition worked for the National Seal of Van Wert, Ohio for 10 years and Wayne Novelty for many years.
She enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She loved to plant flowers and loved her dog Oliver.
Survivors include a son Fred (Theresa) King of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Terry (Michael) Morton of Monroeville, Indiana; daughter, Lisa (Steve) Huffine of Decatur, Indiana; son, Eric (Gwen) King of Decatur, Indiana; brother, Herbert “Wiggs” Cook of Berne, Indiana; Indiana; ten grandchildren, Scott, Chrystal, Randall II, Jerry, Lindsey, Samantha, Catherine, Sam, Nathan and Seth; 16 great-grandchildren, Candyce, Randall III, Brycen, Sydney, Analicia, Jayce, Sofia, Jaidyn, Korbin, Jordyn, Kyler, Anoryia, Zadria, Karigahn, Edward and Scarlett; two great-great-grandchildren, Callye and Charisma; her two closest nieces, Ethel “Toots” Bienz of Decatur, Indiana and Judy (Richard) Erikson of Ossian, Indiana along with many other beloved nieces and nephews and special friends Connie and Dolly.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Kingston; eight brothers, Les (Margaret), Albert "Bub", Roy, Wilbur "Web", Dale, Willie, Richard, and Virgil, Cook and five sister, Betty Kipfer, Opal Hess, Hazel Johnson, Rosie (Speed) Lough, and Josephine "Jose" Hirschy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana with Pastor David Koeneman officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery in Decatur.
Family and Friends will be received from 1-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.
