Howard E. “Howie” Fuelling, 88, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Wednesday morning, September 29, 2021, at Parkview Randallia in Fort Wayne.
He was born on January 9, 1933 in Decatur, Indiana to Edwin J. and Ida S. (Christianer) Fuelling.
Howard was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling and was a lifelong Root Township farmer.
Howard loved to play cards and enjoyed watching Bellmont High School and Purdue Boilermakers basketball.
He is survived by nieces and nephews: Sandra (Dave) Dyarman of New Haven, IN, Richard (Katie) Morrisette of Oxford, MS, Denise (Bernie) Asbel of Prescott, AZ, Steven (Theresa) Morrissette of Omaha, NE, Mark (Heather) Morrissette of Omaha, NE, Jeffry (Beth) Morrissette of Omaha, NE, Beth (Terry) Alspaugh of Decatur, IN, Terry (Denise) Fuelling of Huntley, IL, Cindy (Chris) Kortenber of Angola, IN, and Lori (Kevin) Lee of Decatur, IN; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Delbert Fuelling and two sisters, Doris Morrissette and Marcella “Sally” McIntosh.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021, at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Fuelling with Pastor Leonard Tanksley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling.
Arrangements are by Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, in Decatur, Indiana.
